Parent Information
TRYOUTS:
a. The coaches will determine the teams based on
age, ability of players, and positions.
b. A Club representative will notify the selected
players within 24 hours.
c. Each team will consist of 8-10 players.
REQUIREMENTS:
a. Registration- Register at
www.ntrvolleyball.org before tryouts
b. Birth certificate-A copy of the birth
certificate should be brought to tryouts.
c. Medical information form- This form can be
printed from the Tyler Juniors website, filled out
and
returned to coach prior to the first practice.
d. Waiver and Release form- This form will come
up during registration and must be
signed electronically.
Code of Conduct form-Read through this online. No
signature is required.
e. Uniform information-This form will be filled
out at tryouts.
f. Players are expected to participate in any
tournament that they have committed to.
g. Payments must be made by the due date.
(3 payments- fee information included in handout)
i. Club volleyball is a family commitment for the
entire length of the season.
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION:
a. Tournament schedules will be posted on the
Tyler Juniors website.
b. Teams generally participate in 1 or 2
tournaments per month. (usually January
through April.) Some tournaments are 1 day
tournaments and are usually in the Dallas
area. Some tournaments will be 2 day tournaments.
Parents provide transportation to
and from tournaments. Travel costs are not
included in fees.
c. Some teams may participate in the Lone Star
Tournament in April. This will result
in the players missing a day of school. (Some
teams may not attend Lone Star.)
d. Every effort is made to play each athlete in
the tournament, but playing time is left up
to the discretion of the coach. Playing time is
not guaranteed, it is earned.
e. Specific tournament information is usually not
available until the week of the
tournament. Information will be available on the
hosting team’s website, and on the Tyler Juniors
website.
PRACTICE:
a. Practices will be held at various locations in
and around the Tyler area.
( REL, other facilities as needed)
b Practice times are typically one weekday
evening and Sunday afternoon. These
days are subject to change. (Mondays and
Thursdays may also be practice days.)
c. Players are expected to be dressed and ready
for practice at the designated time.
d. Players are expected to help with court
preparation and clean-up.
e. Practice is critical to a players’ success as
well as to the success of the team.
Attendance is mandatory.
If a player must miss practice, she must contact
the coach prior to the practice .
FEES:
a. The fees cover the following costs: Uniforms,
tournament fees,
coaches’ expenses, gym rental, equipment,
organization expenses,
(clinics, insurance, etc.)
b. The budget is determined based on the above
expenses for each team. After
the approximate total is determined, the amount
is divided by the number
of players on the team.
c. The final cost for each player will be divided
into 3 payments. Payment dates
are December 6 ($350.00), January 10 ($350.00) ,
and February 7 (remaining balance).
